Chloroform Days - Cammy's journal from the end of the Multiverse

2024 trip diary is now up!

2025 one almost complete as well

Been a bit, journal people! Honestly, I suspect this might start going dormant more often going forwards—I'd rather be doing things or relaxing than constantly updating a journal, honestly, especially when I have other places to post updates and I just have less to show off these days. I'm pretty happy with all my projects and I'm really looking forward to going back into the real world and being a productive member of society again. I don't think that's a bad thing, though, if it's only once or twice a month I write something here. Sign of stability, sign of contendedness, I feel.

Anyway, still in Wales! Still having a good time with my girlf and her family, still exploring, still bringing the PhotoCam around. While I enjoy this trip, feel free to peruse, at long last, the 2024 trip diary! This was a funny trip since I rather brainlessly foisted it on Caby and co. after I was forced to leave Staples. Caby was in school, and it was the middle of the winter (which means a lot less here, mostly it's just a bit colder and even wetter). I just really wanted to see her that badly.

Still, everyone was lovely about having me again and it was a great time. We went to fewer places this trip, but I can still remember the near-daily walks to her university through the woods with whatever I was listening to at the time keeping me company, before we'd head into town together for tasty things and sippies, and those are good memories. Plus, where we did go definitely made up for it—Castle Raglan from the 2024 trip and our recent excursion to the Roman baths in Newport this trip are probably my two favorite historical sites in all of Wales so far.

More to come! I actually have the 2025 trip diary pretty much complete also, pending a header image, but I'll save it for a bit so as to not bore and overwhelm people with my vacation photos even more. There are other cammy.somnol pages nearly ready to post also. This trip could very well see, for the first time ever, cammy.somnol's index pages free of any red links to unfinished pages. That's pretty exciting to me. I remember when I refreshed this site back in 2022 and all it had was this journal. How things grow! (I also find it fun how enough time has passed with the journal that stuff I wrote in it at the time now becomes another source for putting these trip diaries together. It's been HTMLy for years now!)
