Game selling expedition is still ongoing. At this point, most of the loose stuff has sold, and I'm slowly getting eBay's payouts from it. Hilariously, eBay really wants me to use their expedited payment system so they can skim a little more off the top—no thanks. You can deposit it into my checking in one to three business days like God intended.
This leaves, uh, most of it. My DS and 3DS stuff was valuable enough to mostly go individually, but I've still got my GB/GBA games, the rest of the DS/3DS stuff, NES, and Genesis stuff that has to go, and that's obviously what's taking up the most space. I had the ear of a reseller in my area who I met at a little local gaming expo, plus someone who cold messaged me on eBay asking to literally buy out what I had listed on my account as lots, and I sent them both a little hidden page on my site with photos explaining the condition everything's in. That was a week ago now, and I haven't heard shit from them since. I was being generous and thinking they were just tallying up the value of all the items to give me a price, but zero reply since then? Nah, I'm not really interested in waiting longer.
This stuff is getting listed publicly as lots starting tomorrow. The individual stuff was marked as buy-it-now, but I'm gonna make these proper auctions, the plan being to tally up the values of everything in each lot and make the reserve on the lot 80% that total value. People feel like they're getting a decent deal, they put in a bid, that number might creep up—or it might not! I don't really care, because I'll be making a bit of a profit either way. This also lets me skip the haggling, pickiness, and back-and-forth of either reseller only wanting some things or wanting none of it, whatever the case may be. I can include my working Genesis Model 2 in the listing as I would've preferred, whereas who knows whether either game reseller would take the console off my hands as well.
The only unknown here is the NES games. I'm reasonably certain they (for the most part) still work, but I have no NES to test them with. I'll probably make the reserve half of the value of the lot, which, with my calculations, should still be in the three digits. They gotta go. Fire sale, fire sale.
cammy.somnol refresh is very imminent. I just have one last big graphic to finish up for the front page. There's gonna be some pages never published in the refresh, stuff from cammy_v1 at long last, and some all-new pages to follow. It's taken me long enough, but whatever, it's fine. The current site is already mirrored to archives with canonicals added in preparation for the move.
