Not every day can be particularly exciting, and after all the commotion of the first three days, we just wanted to stay inside and hang out with Caby's family. I had this crazy dream about a rapper writing a song about a story dcb wrote in eighth grade involving scented green pencils and us hearing it while we were out at the shops, immediately told Caby about it, and confused her greatly.
[7:08 AM] Cammy: i had this crazy dream where i heard this poggers rap song while i was out, and i looked it up and the song was based on a story that dcb wrote as an eighth grader and got in the paper for (under his real name!) because it was hilarious and went hard, but hid from us i wish i remembered the rapper's name (the guy took his name from the story too but rewrote the lyrics and stuff to the fake song), but caby and i printed all these copies to put around town the only line i remember from dcb's version was from when we were talking about him editing the lyrics slightly the line about green pencils stayed but the line about how you should see how they smell did not,,, [7:11 AM] Jake: utter nonsense [7:15 AM] caby: heeeee it makes more sense than when he told me it while waking up thought he was saying that dcb was the rapper which is also a great mental image [7:18 AM] Cammy: iirc he said his grandma helped him write it at first? but she had a lot of those smelling green pencils lines and so he had to cut a lot of it down [7:20 AM] Jake: a rapper based his career off an old dcb writing about scented green pencils [7:20 AM] caby: grandma pls [7:22 AM] Cammy: a rapper got a hit song we probably heard at a maccy d's off an old dcb writing about scented green pencils [7:22 AM] Cammy: either maccy d's or an airport [7:23 AM] caby: maccy d's branded airport [7:24 AM] Jake: mcdonalds in an airport [7:50 AM] dcb: alas This Was Not True [7:50 AM] dcb: :kkpensive: [7:51 AM] Jake: imagine the royalties you'd get :kkpensive: [7:51 AM] dcb: would probably be a very livable income
On the days where we didn't go out and do much, we usually filled the gap being creative. Caby has this gigantic screen tablet, and we took turns using it. (As nice as it was, I was very glad to get home and see that it didn't ruin my ability to use my old non-screen Wacom Bamboo from, like, 2013? Because I actually have to use that most of the time...) We had a small list of ideas for projects to work on together while we were in person, one of which was a Pennyverse in-universe Geocities homage called Meowcities. The domain is bought, but I haven't gotten around to actually building anything there just yet.
That said! I did wind up doodling an idea for its mascot, and Caby came in and filled in all the gaps like she's so wonderful at. After a lot of deliberation on a name (that saw Caby's brother Cramble suggest "Gavin", "Alberto", and..."COBOL"), I christened him Henry J. Wadsworth IV. He is, of course, a tuxedo cat in a tuxedo, and he's ready to sell you land to set up your eHome on. Perhaps you'll see him sometime before the end of the year, or maybe next year.
